Cap de Formentor is located at the northern tip of Mallorca, where the end of the Tramuntana mountain range meets the Mediterranean Sea. It is accessible from the Port of Pollensa by a road that crosses the 20 km long peninsula. Formentor is one of the most unspoilt places on the island, where an incredible white sand beach with crystal clear water is found. This lovely pine-clad beach is called Playa de Formentor. You also have the chance to discover other hidden beaches and coves on the wild peninsula. In addition, a classic elegant lighthouse is located at the tip of the cape on top of high cliffs. Although not open to visitors, you can walk around its rocky surroundings. It is certainly a very picturesque spot that has inspired photographers, painters and writers. If you are a bird lover, you can spot thousands of seabirds during migration periods.To enjoy nice restaurants and leisure activities, we recommend the nearby and pretty town of Puerto Pollensa.
