Mallorca’s greatest Beach Clubs

One of the must-do plans during your stay in Mallorca in summer is spending the day at the beach, but some beaches offer much more than sea, sun and salt. You can enjoy at the beach clubs a fresh cocktail or a snack with fabulous views over the sea, after sunbathing or dipping into the sea water.

Here you have a brief list with some of the most well-known beach clubs of the island.

  • Puro Beach (Cala Estància – Carrer del Pagell, 1). Located above the sea, when you lie down on the hammocks, you get the impression of being on a cruise in the middle of the sea. Within a few minutes by car from Palma centre, it is a perfect scape from the hubbub of the city.  They offer a varied menu of snacks and drinks, as well as some basic main dishes. The kitchen is not available full-time, it only opens for lunch and dinner time and some days they play live music.
  • Royal Beach Club (Playa de Muro – Carrer Flamencs). Time goes by in a different speed while being at the Royal Beach Club. The atmosphere created by the sunlight and its proximity to the beach (just a couple of meters off the shore), make it a great alternative for a rest after a beach day, or for chilling out while enjoying their popular cocktail jugs. Open all year round, during the summer they offer live music in the evenings.
  • Anima Beach Palma (Palma – Autovía del Levante). This urban beach club is settled in a very covenient location if you are hosted in Palma or if you are just hanging around. With fantastic views over the sea and Palma’ stunning cathedral, it is a great option for a stop after shopping in the city centre or for stopping by after an early morning bath in the sea. Right beside Ca’n Pere Antoni beach and the small harbor of Portitxol, you can easily access to the beach club by bike or just walking.
  • Balneario Illetas (Calvià – Paseo Illetas, 52A). Balneario Illetas is surely one of the places-to-be in summer for locals. Recently inaugurated, it has become in a little time one of the most popular establishments of the island. The surroundings give to this beach club an excellent value, as Platja d’Illetas is one of the most frequented beaches of the southern coast of Mallorca. Great menu options, stunning views and stylish design- it’s all waiting for you!
  • Café del Sol (Cala Millor – Parc de la Mar). Popular meeting point for locals and visitors of the eastern part of the island, Café del Sol is a suitable place for a cosy snack or a relaxing drink by the sea with friends or family, and it is good choice for children as they can play on the grass. Located at the seafront of Cala Millor beach, plans around are multiple and it is a great place to spend the day at.
  • S’Embat (Ses Covetes – Carrer des Murters, 9). A different one but a must-see beach club. S’Embat is a hidden treasure situated next to Es Trenc beach in the middle of a forest. Live music and acrobatic shows are carried out in this idyllic scenario while visitors can enjoy a delicious mediterranean meal or a cocktail.
